Mumbi Macharia
Mumbi is a poet who was a runner up in the 2016 Poetry Slam Africa competition and won the Poetry After Lunch Recognition Award in 2018. She has been noted as one of the most prolific female Spoken Word Poets in East Africa. She has been featured in Kwani? And NTV’s the Trend. She curates poetry events in Nairobi, teaches writing workshops and performs all over East Africa.
